math logic

blt’s comment on time is money reminded me of something. i found it after rummaging through the ‘my documents’ folder for a little while. it’s been on my computer for quite some time, so pardon me for not crediting the source of this interesting illustration. anyway, i’m sure whoever did it is kind enough to not sue me for illegal distribution of a .jpeg file.

i like the way math was used to prove a simple logic common among men but not so common among women. to the girls who read this, i’m not a sexist, but this diagram does show how unsophisticated men’s minds are. we’re chauvenist pigs, we’re pathetically straightforward, we never make sense, and i think women are clever.

it’s momo again. with a makeover!

it seems to like it when i stroke its ears. i think it’s cooler if it can make its ears stand though.

something stupid

i made an interesting discovery today. i was at my guardian’s home with her family and ‘i not stupid’ was showing on tv. it was pretty funny even though i’ve watched it dozens of times before, so i did laugh at the jokes. but about 20 minutes into the show, i noticed that the others laughed a lot more than i did, even when i couldn’t detect the slightest trace of a subtle joke. naturally i felt a little puzzled.

“what’s so funny?”

“they way they speak!”

“huh…?”

later i found out that they thought the whole singlish and singaporean accent thing was done on purpose. they thought that hokkien’s a form of singaporean gibberish too! not surprisingly, the laughing stopped soon after i enlightened them. 5 minutes later they switched to discovery channel.
